Est_Art presents “GRAFICAX” at Marte, 15-18 Nov, Castellón

Est_Art is firmly committed at Marte (Contemporary Internacional Art Fair, Castellón) to the discipline of Graphic Work and returns to Mars with a proposal headed by 3 women:
Beatriz Palomero
MasauR
María del Carmen Díez

Three engravers that propose to reflect on women.

Beatriz Palomero has been moving in the graphic world for more than 20 years, her women give off an ambivalence between the explicit eroticism and the apparent innocence of her strokes. Sensual, suggestive female bodies, protagonists of her desires and masters of her existence.

Her series, untitled, reveal this feminine environment without labels, works plagued with freedom where no filter stands in front of the spectator.

MasauR immersed in the disciplines of engraving and photography since 2005, narrates introspective reflections through his pieces; he criticizes, discerns and invites the spectator to think about the world around him.
Paisajes Obligados - Extrinsic and intrinsic landscapes, generated in the horizon, in the body or in the soul, ways of seeing what we keep quiet until we make it our own and shout it to the world. We are character, unique idea and thought, a sieve that degrades feelings and perspectives.

María del Carmen Díez clears the graphics of the 15th and 16th centuries as an element of the past that has contributed to the reproduction, propagation and inheritance of imposed female archetypes; a legacy to face, unmask and banish.
In Greek mythology the Hours are described as goddesses of the seasons, beautiful and healthy maidens. In this series that imposed beauty canon is broken.
Calm down fierce! It contextualizes within the derogatory sphere the names of animals that have been associated with women since time immemorial, being established as patterns of reprehensible behaviour: turkey, hen, monkey, fox...
