Each person has their own inner monsters; they are a primary exploration of ourselves, an approach to our deepest abysses. They are constructed as a metaphor for the fears, impulses, taboos, and temptations that inhabit us. Perhaps because of the allure they hold, for this series, I have drawn inspiration from the human psyche, from those monsters we all have within, each unique to us, afflicting and hindering us. Thus, greed, guilt, insecurity, boredom, obsession with beauty, or the past, are examples of real monsters that torment us and prevent us from moving forward.
